Excellence in Theoretical & Practical Training
Northeast Christian College offers a minor in Music program. Students enrolled in the minor of music are taught musical theory as well as how to play and write music. The music minor entails a combination of fundamental theology courses as well as music courses. The program exists to offer students a greater knowledge of music as well as the ability to play musical instruments while still engaging in biblical studies. Upon completing three years successful students receive a Bachelor’s of Theology with a Minor in Music Diploma.
Students enrolled in the music program are taught by Brother Bill Gowan and Sister Laura Tracey - both are avid and passionate musicians. Brother Gowan aids in the chapel song services and teaches our core music classes; Sister Tracey conducts our chorale and band and oversees the chorale trips to various churches in our region. Students have practice time during school hours and also have the opportunity to practice the piano outside of class in the music room. Music students also have ample opportunity to exercise their talents during chapel services, chorale trips, at local churches and also while on weekend ministry. |
