CRUSH THE NCC MORTGAGE
Crush the NCC Mortgage is a fundraising project initiated by Rev. H.M. Lewis, a retired minister of the Atlantic District of UPCI, and Rev. David Ferrell, pastor of Calvary Tabernacle (Perth-Andover NB) and also the Section 1 Presbyter of the Atlantic District.
History of the Project
In 1996, Bros. H.M. Lewis and D. Ferrell biked from Edmunston to Saint John, New Brunswick to raise funds for Northeast Christian College. The main building at the college had failed a building inspection and was in dire need of renovations. Tens of thousands of dollars were raised by reason of people becoming inspired to give through the efforts of these two men. In January 2017, Bro. Lewis began to feel stirred about wanting to see the Northeast Christian College mortgage on the new building eradicated, and has proposed to redo a Bike Ride Fund-raising effort with Bro. Ferrell to accomplish the said goal. On 10th of April 2017, they started the first 60 kilometers of their 280-kilometer cycling challenge. |
Mechanics of the Project
Though any amount of donation is appreciated, the goal is to raise $132,000 through at least 132 sponsors who would give $1,000 each. The project will run until the 280-kilometer is completed and just before the commencement of Academic Year 2017-2018 in September. We will post videos and other live updates on our Facebook page and website as the project progresses. Donations can be made through the following:
