Excellence in Theoretical & Practical Training
Northeast Christian College offers a three year Music program. Students enrolled in the music program are taught musical theory as well as how to play and write music. The music program entails a combination of fundamental theology courses as well as music courses. The program exists to offer students a greater knowledge of music as well as the ability to play musical instruments while still engaging in biblical studies. Upon completing three years enrolled in the music program, students receive a Bachelor’s of Music Diploma.
Students enrolled in the music program are taught by Brother Bill Gowan - an avid and passionate musician. Brother Gowan conducts the NCC chorale, aids in the chapel song services, is a piano and vocal instructor and has mastered the piano, organ and violin. Students registered in the music program are given piano and vocal instruction by Brother Gowan and they also become a member of the NCC chorale. Students have practice time during school hours and also have the opportunity to practice the piano outside of class in the music room at the dorm building. Music students also have ample opportunity to exercise their talents during chapel services, chorale trips, at local churches and also while on weekend ministry. Download Music Courses Descriptions |
